The Lead Technician level 1 is responsible for the lead position on the crew or

cleaning and mitigation staff of the company. This position is a 24 hour per day on call position on a daily basis, including weekends and holidays—THIS IS MANDATORY. This position is the second to be called for any emergency service situation.

 

This is to include working closely with the Field Supervisor and assisting for the daily operation of the crews as related to on site emergency services, cleaning, and the completion of the repairs on multiple projects.  The position includes leading small to medium size crews and setting an example for exhibiting the quality standards set forth by Emergency Restoration Specialists employees.

 

The ultimate responsibility of a Lead Technician is to be a lead person for the cleaning, mitigation or demolition and repair crew under the direction of the company’s Field Supervisor & Project Manager.

 

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead person for crew when assigned to include the full and part time production and emergency service staff as assigned.
  • Lead person as assigned for 24 hr on call position (evenings, weekends & holidays)  
  • Provide field Team leadership to ensure Emergency services, equipment and duties are properly completed. Reporting continually to the Field Supervisor and the Project Manager
  • Provide complete and accurate E. R. S. paperwork, as assigned for Emergency service contracts and equipment placement or monitoring sheets.
  • Responsible for making sure all paperwork is turned into the Field Supervisor or office in the basket on a daily basis prior to shift’s end.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and morale for full and part time staff on their related jobsites.
  • Understand and maintain all information regarding job projects assigned—daily duties including scopes or scheduling.
  • Complete basic level training and certifications for flood and fire cleaning and restoration and miscellaneous industry related courses.
  • Assist and train crew on inventory control for chemical and materials and tool supplies or equipment loaded out to the jobsite.
  •  Working knowledge of the proper amount of chemical and materials usage.
  •  Responsible for the collection and return of equipment or tools to the shop.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and vehicle maintenance scheduling and repairs for the usage of vans and tools that are assigned to their care.
  • Hands on duties as needed—carpentry, drywall, painting, demolition, construction duties, cleaning ,inventory, general construction repairs—and work with the Field Supervisor or Project Manager to finish punch list items for project completion
  • Quality control for Emergency Services, and see all repairs to completion to ERS standards.
  • Clean up interior and the exterior of the shop, vans and trailers, or other related maintenance.
